An unconventional journey, beginning in a remote Pakistani desert and traversing the northern reaches of India to arrive at the sacred city - capturing both the sacred and the profane, eroticism and religion, human faces and the myriad forms of deities - within an India that, by virtue of its history and legendary culture, remains a cradle of civilization, as depicted in *Road to Kashi*.
